Third Party Accessories for CTX 3030

As I look at the E-trac and other Minelab detectors I notice an array of third party accessories such as coils, shafts, etc. I see the E-trac has a Wild Thing coil by Coiltek amongst many other goodies. How long would you estimate that these third party companies start selling these types of items for the ctx?

they are already out shhh its a secret

I see the day of third party coils coming to an end for top of the line detectors. Detectors like the CTX and the Deus have chips in the coils that probably are under patent or at least very hard to copy and make a profit on. The good news is that the available coils for the CTX are great. If Minelab would release an 8 inch coil I really don't think there is a need for another. Of course the prices are high, but a person needs to be aware of that going into a CTX purchase.

I never knew they had chips in the coil, I guess the third parties aren't happy about that :( I don't think this will stop them however, when money is the motivator they will meet the demand.

The X-Terra's also have a chip in the coils and it took about 4 years before aftermarket coils started to show up. There are now chipped coils from Coiltek, I believe, that are authorized and chipped coils for some eastern countries that are not authorized but are very good coils.
