Remember to ground balance often. Of course it depends on the soil conditions, but any hills or uneven terrain is a good indicator to rebalance. Sometimes every ten feet if it's seriouis bad ground. A nugget hunting book says to rebalance every sweep at first! 90 on the ground balance is very hot ground and accurate balancing is very important if you want the deep ones. And I probably don't have to tell you how important a positive attitude is. I say it is the difference between Heaven and Hell.

Does the AT pro give a door bell tone on a coin?.If it does,i don't know.If yes,can you change it?.I can't do a door bell tone.Other than that,i may get one.Grubber

bell tone in std coin mode in pro modes just high tones somtimes low but repeating gets the job done

Thanks, the AT is starting to look good, esp for a good cherry picking machine.Never had a Garret but just may try one.

I just got a Pro, and after doing many bench test, It seems it has a small gold target depth problem , any more then 3 inch's you can forget it on a small gold ring.. any advice on this issue .

Thanks

Small gold rings are tough for a lot of detectors. What frequency does the pro work on?.

Most the SMALLeen between gold rings i've fount are between 38 and 52 in the digital scale that would be between verysmall iron bits through foil and including nickle range. BE AWARE white gold rings in slightly below yellow gold, and platinum registers lower than white gold of the same size. So be careful how ur disc is set. I always use pro mode i feel it's deeper than std mode , pro mode has tone roll, iron low tone and iron audio that is a double check on iffy objects. The audio is superb and very revealing in pro mode. Furthermore the atp in pro mode can detect gold chains better than many other machines (it operates on about 15 khz and has a small frequency shift (4 slightly different ones) to avoid interference and some hot rocks
