Third Classic SL Hunt W/ Mr. Bill's Mods

Man I am so happy with my new modification. It is almost like starting over. And that is saying something, since I have been detecting over 30 years. I went yesterday to my old school and another location that I have been meaning to try. Had another outstanding day. A Virginia State Seal button from the Civil War and two more Mercury dimes in great shape. Also found several interesting items. All of these were no more than ten minutes drive from my house. Here is my loot from yesterday.

Great finds, again! You are the motivation to finally send my SL to Mr Bill for the mods. It's in the brown truck now. Bob

Sure hope you like the results. I thought the Classic was a great detector BEFORE the mods. I consider it one of the best investments in my equipment that I have ever made. I can't imagine why White's hasn't incorporated the improvement on their recent detectors. It sure makes the detector easier to set up and use. It is the first detector that I have had that allows you to hunt with max. discrimination and not loose depth. That makes it great in old areas with a lot of trash, so you can still find the older silver.

Nice haul - my old school is all fenced in now - guess they don't want me going back to school - can't blame them:blink:

very nice day those mercurys look like they just came off the press ,excelent condition. I really like the cross, never seen one so solid and detailed. The button looks like the one selling for $4,700 at the link provided. Ok im calling for a mod on my IDX pro wile i have the money. nice work . http://relicman.com/ButtonConStates.htm

Your running full discriminate with a stock coil. wow .I wonder if its the same button ? It would be awesome if it were.

I was finally able to identify the button. It is a rare cs116 VA3A high-dome Soup Bowl button. It is the first one I have ever come across. Thanks for the help in steering me in the right direction.
