Thinking of selling my Eldorado Umax or Bandido Umax

Somebody please tell me I am crazy or stupid. I know both of these units are getting harder to find and I am an idiot to be searching for anything else, but that is what we do in this hobby. We seem to never be satisfied with what we have. Some of the reason I had this crazy notion to sell one or both of them is that I have 3 detectors that barely see the light of day. Too much going on right now to go detecting. Sad day when that happens. Too busy at work and doing other things. I like the simplicity of the turn on and go hunt with the compadre and wish I had time to learn these 2 amazing detectors but I don't right now. I am possibly looking at a lobo s/t and wondering if once learned if it is quick to set up. I like the idea of not having to adjust the ground balance during a hunt and wonder if those who have used one can give me some feedback. Should I be content or shop around. I have been detecting for 5 years now and would like to stick with Tesoro for my next detector. Just wish I had more time to detect, but then again we all do. HH.

I would think twice on selling the Bandido ll

Thank you hombre. I appreciate the feedback. HH.

That's a hard decision. Personally, I favor the Eldorado although I have a Bandito II that I haven't used enough to get attached to. They're both good detectors that do most everythng so you can't go too wrong with either. My downfall is if I don't really need the funds, I keep everything so I've ended up detector poor, LOL.

Dirtdigger33,

The Super LOBO is a great machine if you hunt high changing mineral content ground (so you don't need to GB every so many feet). I've owned one for gold prospecting.

The Eldorado Umax is a great machine to, my dad had one. I think it is MONTYs #1 or #2 Tesoro pick I believe.

I have had the Eldorado for 9 years and love it. Good manual ground balance and great turn on and go. Too bad you don't find enough time. I just got a new stock coil for it.:twodetecting: I take it and a silver every time I go out. Good luck with your decision.

Another vote to keep the bii... I put my cleansweep on that machine.... And it is a riot!

It's my favorite!

Can't comment on the Eldorado... Never tried one... But have heard great stuff about it as well. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I am thinking I was crazy to sell. I will just save my change to buy a lobo in the future and wait for time to use these 2 great units. Thanks for the feedback. One day I will find time to get out there again. HH

The bandito has pulled just as much or more relics than the 1266!!
