Thinking of purchasing a pair of Gray Ghost ndt's

My original headphones on the MXT are in the trash. 2 in a row; a broken connection in the connecting wire to the 1/4" plug. I need a good pair for the MXT, so...
Thinking about the Gray Ghosts NDT since they have separate volume controls and detachable cables. They send you 2 pair of cables for the head phone. I need a pair that will last a few years, instead of just one year. What do you guy think? Any testimonies? I need to order soon. Thanks, Marty

I have the Grey Ghost Ultimate's and really love them. Difference is, they have one volume control for both sides and the cord is built in. I've had them two years and I just wash them off and keep going. They are still going strong and look great.

[size=large]my whites e-9000 broke with-in a yr. really like em cause they aren't tight. i sent them in and whites replaced them. in the meantime i purchased a pr. of gg ndt. there more snug than my whites and don't slip around like my whites. also use them on my ml. knock out most sounds. only diff is switching from whites to ml ya gotta flip the switch on the headset. haven't had them a yr. yet and i've missed the last two months due to surgery. so far i would recommend them. would also recommend getting them from chuck at Indian Nation's Detectors. you don't like he'll allows returns and set you up with the brand you will like.and free shipping.

Sunray Pro Gold all the way to the bank. Whites phones that come with the MXT aren't all that and I swear by the Sunray Pro Gold. Besides, Ralph is a pleasure to deal with too. I've had mine for years and many many hours of use. Hot or cold weather, they are very comfortable.

I have 3 pairs of Gray Ghosts which includes a GG "Nugget Buster" NDT pair. Highly recommend any or all of them. Sound is sharp, crisp and clear, outside noise is quelled very well and as mentioned above the fit snugly so they stay where you put them.

I think any of the top quality name brands will suit you well. I have a pair of Jolly Rogers that have served me extremely well over the past 7 years. Also have a set of Killer Bee's which get a lot of use and are still going strong. I guess you get what you pay for.

Thank you Widebody!!!! I also have been using the White's E-Series 9000's and loved em until one side died and the cord started shorting out. They've been headed for the reworking bin in my barn and I was halfway there till I read your note about White's fixing them up for you, so I fired off an email and they sent me an email the very next day with an address, a contact and said they would send me another pair...FREE..
I owe it all to you, so Thank You Very Much!!!

Rocky!
Supposed to be 54 here in Michigan tomorrow, so I'm cuttin out of work at 3 and heading to our favorite spot from the 1700's to see if we can't find some last minute treasures before it all freezes up again........oooooooo it's cold on the hand's this time of year!!!!) lol

Thanks guys,

I ordered the GG ndt's about 4 days ago and they came today. Gave them a very quick test on the front lawn. The sound is totally different than the stock Hphones for sure. Got 2 identical detachable cord also. I like that idea! Will have to relearn the MXT sounds again. Marty

Is the sound really that different?

I have not had time to check it out yet in the field, but the treble sounds are definitely different.
