Will this machine handle heavy mineralized grounds like in Virginia. Also does it give good Target ID in this type of soil and what kind of depth can one expect with these conditions. Thanks for any help you can offer.
I doubt anything but a pulse would work very well....TDI ,Infeneium, Minelab SD series.....If I remember right it is just a few area's in one or two counties that you could not pick up a mini ball on top of the ground..... I know all machines worked very well around the James River...... hope this helps I am sure some of the Bush wackers will chime in
with good results and depth a couple of years ago. The soil there is terrible too, thick, red iron clay. We were able to run both machines at a 4 sensitivity and get coins/targets up to 8 inches or so with accurate ID. Interestingly, both machines ground balanced to exactly 1 so that was some HOT ground. That's the only time I've ever hunted in those conditions...HH
