Thinking new machine 20 year break

I haven't done much detecting since around 1990 , wondering what machine I might want as new technology.

My current machines are ADSlll and Freedom 3

no salt water detecting or looking for gold

THe 250 would be a great one to start with but John's suggestion is right on the money also since you've had experience with upper end machines. Will you mainly coinshoot and look for jewelry or what?

Bill

uncle, I do a lot of coin/jewelry hunting around old foundations etc.

John , GTP 1350 I've had in the shopping cart of few times , but haven't hit the buy button yet

You'll have some fun now. It's strange but tonight I discovered some old notes stuck in a book that I wrote down when I field tested the prototype for the 1350 in May of 2004. The first notation states, " Screeching, chirping, signal has to go as it will drive you nuts fast. Sounds like a Roadrunner getting its throat cut." :) Course that was all corrected but those are the things you encounter when testing prototypes and many things change from prototype to production models.

Got the new GTP 1350 , 1 hrs worth of work without reading the instruction book already pulled a small handful of change from driveway that i missed over the years with the Freedom 3.:clapping:

I have a 4.5 crossfire to run across same area yet :)

 Your old machines are probably just as good (or better) than any of the newer ones out today. They just have fewer bells and whistles. But if you like a lot of gadgets on a detector I suggest the GTI 1500.:jump:

Try the Master Hunter 5, 6, 7or 7X. Get the ones with the crossfire coils, these are still highly competitive with todays curent machines!..............HH.................................Joe
