Thinking about trying a Lobo ST. Should I?

Currently using a silver umax and vaquero +5" coil.

I've tried a cibola, modded gb cibola, compadre, and tejon.

I'm not nugget hunting. I doubt the lobo would be better than the vaq for coin / relic hunting, but i'm still curious.

My other option is just getting a 5x10 for the vaq to cover more ground. It's hard for me to take off the 5.75" though ;-)

what do you all think?

You won't be happy until you satisfy your curiosity.
They are heavier than what your used to unless you mount the box under the arm rest.
I had the regular Lobo at one point and a guy with a Silver umax cleaned my clock at a schoolyard about 5 years ago.
Heard the newer ST is a better unit.

Read this and decide:

I used the LST for serious relic hunting for about 4 years (before I picked up an X5) and I don't feel like I missed a thing....I REALLY liked the LST for relics.

Well "D", I have a xB for driving around (40 mpg), I got an Astro for going after groceries, and a Chev P.U. for hauling engines around. I also have a Compadre for all around park detecting, a Big Bud 220D for when the going gets tuff (Awesome discriminator) but when I head up to the creek, I leave 'em both at home and toss the LST in the truck with the sluice box. Ya just gotta have the right tool for the job. :beers:
