Thinking about taking the Teknetics plunge need advice

I own a Fisher CZ70 pro and I do like the detector a lot but am concerned about the age of it. If I have to get it repaired, the parts may be in short supply. I bought my wife a Delta 4000 and she loves it. I've been thinking about getting a Omega 8000. The only thing that is holding me back is the CZ70 has 2 operating frequencies I think 5khz and 14,5kihz and the Omega has 1 at 7 something khz. How is the depth on the Omega and how is it on jewelry? What is your advice?

The only advantage the CZ has is it's 2 frequencies for a saltwater beach.

Other than that Omega all the way.
Extreme simple user interface. Clear signals and fast speed.
I just came back detecting in the woods ( uphill and downhill ) and the lightweight is fun to swing under these conditions.
Just select the right coil for the job and go . A nice straight forward detector.
On gold it is better than some higher fequency detectors. The ground error bars on the display is really helpful. If the ground changes you know, not on other detectors.

First I'll second everything Andy said.

Second, I'll admit that I've found no gold YET this year, but that is just luck as I'm not afraid of foil and tabs.
I have done side-by-side air tests with a higher freq. (and higher priced) detector, and like Andy said it did get better depth on gold, substancially better. I know that goes against everything that is commonly said, but I witnessed it with my own eyes. I suppose it is possible that the other detector was a "lemon" but it was brand new.....so

The Omega has found me 3 silver rings, a chain, which are not easy to detect, and 14 silver coins so far this season.

Having the oportunity to try many different detectors I bought the omega as an all-in-one, a detector for all jobs where ever I go, and I am quite pleased with it.
