Thinking about getting an AT Pro.

I would like to here some input about your Garrett Machines. I have a MXT that is my main detector. Would like to get a AT pro as a back up. Just sold a Gold Bug that as my backup, never really liked it. Thanks for your opinions.

My MXT was my main detector until I got an AT PRO. The Pro will pick out targets right in the same hole as iron. Great detector. BUT I will still keep my old reliable MXT. Here are some finds from Saturday at a colonial site with plenty of iron in the area.
P.S.
I really can't get rid of my MXT. LOL

Thanks Joe. Thats what I was wanting to hear. Nice finds

I've the original mxt, and the atpro, they are both keepers for shure, Bought the at pro to replace 2 other machines(1 land and also a water machine) -- it did that and more, Am very happy with the atp. Since I got it it's all that gets used, It's great to scan a beach and just walk right out into. lake michigan and cool off still hunting . The beach and water bottom are both sand mostly so use a long handled scoop both places(saves a lot of bending).

Is to NOT get one  Love mine, this one is a keeper  I already knew it was a capable machine. What really swayed me into getting one though was the land water aspect for the price. Can't say enough good things about the AT it just keeps blowing me away.
Cheers!

nugget71, how do you modify your propointer to use in the water? Do the users of the AT/Pro opt for the waterproof headphones or regular headphones?

Thanks Guys! I just ordered one from Bart at Big Boy Hobbies! Great Deal, thanks Bart!

You won't be sorry, as it is a great machine and the customer service is great also if you do have any issues. Good luck and HH!

There are many ways you can do this and all of them obviously void the warranty so do this at your own discretion. Ok here is a link which shows you how to do it the silicon way http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_1iYI8M0co
Another way is to use waterproof bags, vacum seal bag. I always use the waterproof headphones now.
Cheers!

The AT Pro is an excellent machine. I have had mine for a year and a half. Found lots of clad coins, silver rings and a few gold rings. Not one silver coin.

The MXT is also a great machine. I have it also. I have had it for 3 years and found many things, but very few silver coin. I recently purchased a CTX 3030. I will notturn loose of my AT Pro or MXT. These are both great backup machines.

I feel you can swing an AT Pro all day long, matter of fact I did that today, found about $8 in clad. Still no silver. Remember the coil has to go over silver in order to find it.

For the price there is not a machine on the market today that offers the features of the AT Pro at the price of the pro.

If you are a coin shooter it is the one to have for the money.
