Think they should start a F75 Forum?

Not a bad idea, but when we start making forums for each new unit just because they are "hot" & new it just makes alot more work for Mr. Bill, or we have to kill one of these forums to make that new one......
Eventually the hype will wear down & then there may be an F79 or something coming out anyhow. There should be enough room for all the F-units in here hopefully. But, of course since the LTD is new, most of the post will be about that one I'm sure.......
HH,
Bill

An F79? I really don't think there will be an improvement over the LTD for quite some time. The holes are deep enough. Seriously the LTD is running on the edge. I really think stability will be an issue trying to improve with more power. Bells & Whistles? The LTD has enough already. Weight? Very comfortable already. Maybe a detector for the wet sand? Any improvement will be a challenge. And that is probably the greatest compliment you can give to an invention or inventor.

When did the 75 come out? Wasn't it the 75th anniversary of Fisher? Hard to believe huh... but 2011 will be the 80th anniversary and I expect there will be an F80.

BTW, I am really impressed with my F75 LTD, I like it a LOT bettert than I liked the F75 and I loved it... This machine is HOT and stable. I took some time today testing targets and writing down TID numbers... i'd forgotten some of them.

I have undergroung utilities and cannot hunt that part of my yard but 15' away, across the driveway I can run the LTD on 0 disc, 95 sens, and BP or CL and it us very nice. Not completely quiet but nowhere near as noisy as the original would have been.

I hope the get to the old park in Kingston tomorrow!!

I am very HAPPY... with this detector. Maybe we will need a seperate forum when people realize just how much better this detector is.

That's the only thing I can think of off hand that could become an F75 LTD classroom. I don't think we can just add another new forum unless someone steps up with sponsoring it/paying for a banner. So, that means setting up a separate class, always involves killing another one to replace it with, & we have some long time CZ people who've posted for years there & may get upset at that idea.......
But, the CZ is a "classic" & both forums are slow right now & could merge, so it's something we can talk about.........

This forum is just fine! Bill does a great job!

If everyone would specify which F series detector they want to talk about in the Thread "Subject" line. We could just read the threads we are interested in.

Sort of a forum within a forum.

Well, I am happy with what we have. I think maybe the F70 or F5 posts will get little attention in here with the new LTD out, at least for a while.

I don't see a need for an Explorer forum and an Explorer classroom. Not since they announced the SE Pro was the end of the line for the Explorer and since the release of the E-TRAC but I really don't care. It works well for me like it is. You guys all do a great job here IMO.

I think thats a good idea, "A Forum within a Forum" if people headed their posts with F75...F75 ltd. or F70,, etc It would save people new to the forum like me,having to trawl through 286 pages of info,, with headings like " A Surprise at dinner" etc to find out about the F75 ,, which I have just bought,, I know I could have bought the F75 ltd,, but I wanted to learn the earlier version first.. I will be upgrading later maybe,, in the meantime,, with 8 inches of snow outside, I have some spare time to carry on trawling:wacko:...Happy Hunting to you all....Kuffy

You're okay, Kuffy!! Finally someone around here agreeds with me!!! What part of the country are you from? New to the hobby or just to the machine? Welcome aboard!!

I always try to post a reasonable and meaningful heading and prefix it with F2. I'm sure you have all been happy with that. I also like seeing how the different F's perform. the F forum is fine as is in MHO

I'd prefer an in depth video with DJ and NASA Tom explaining everything they know about the LTD. That would answer all the questions and remove the unknowns and confusion. NASA Tom eluded to maybe having a new vid in the near future. One can only hope and pray. NASA Toms review and explanations put me a long way down the learning curve road on LTD. Thanks again NT!
