Think my double D sprung a leak?

Think this has been brought up before. Been soggy up north here. Picked today as the least juicy day this week to get out. After a bit with my F75ltd, started only hearing, mid tones and 18 vid showing a lot. This progressed to all overload. Would stop when unplugging coil. Drove 10 miles more, with big double d in, still overload almost nonstop. Couldnt do anything to stop it. Yes there was wet grass clippings on the coil, but my feeling is there is probably an actual minute leak maybe where the cable enters the coil? It kept up even after rinsing off the clippings. Put the 5 inch on and the chaos stopped. Bagged my day, and the gas I used to get out there. Will my F70 double d and stock coil work on the F75 ltd? The f70 double appeared to work in my living room, didnt get a chance to try the stock. . Is there a warranty on the 75 double D or should I use nail polish at that joint or buy some of the plug wire drying spray, etc? If the coil dries out by the time they get it will it still overload or can they test for that? Send it to the dealer I got if from or fisher itself? Thanks folks for your input. I have a lot of finds to post, but cant find the time to get them up. CO

That is a bummer osgood. Know about those coil overloads myself. The coil is part of the detector and is covered under warranty...as I understand it. Give Felix a call at F T. I would let them sort out the problem. I am thinking the F 70 coils will work, but don't know for sure. HH jim tn
