Traded for an Outlaw and took it out for the first time today. I didn't have much time in between burning brush and taking the gardens down, so I headed to a park near home that is fairly old but is absolutely trashed out since they hold a carnival there every year. I've been reading a lot of posts by Kaolinwasher, Tabman, and others with lots of experience with this unit, so nothing here is very original. Just my two farthings.
My initial impressions of the Outlaw:
I plan to hit an old resort later on this week, so I'll post findings then.
My initial impressions of the Outlaw:
- Ground balancing easy and stable
- Coin, pulltab, zinc penny, and can slaw sigals sounded "Tesoro-like" and familiar for the most part.
- Pretty good depth--noticeably better than my 3rd gen Bandido, anyway
- The 5.75" concentric coil really helped in areas that were especially trashy
