Think I'm going to like this 6'' Q2 coil

As some of you know the E-trac has pulled some great targets out of my own yard that I've hunted hard.

Today I received the Q2 and had to try it in some of my trashier areas. QM/33 down blaked out/2 tone FE. Not bad for a spot that has been hunted to death, really makes ya think about what is still out there in all those other spots.

When I hit a trash spot I would really slow to a snails pace and watch the screen. Nails were jumping 01-33/03-50 and down to the bottom right. When I would hit a coin it would jump to the coin area during this nail dance but soon jump the same iron pattern again.

When I saw this I just played in this one spot until I saw the coin area show up a couple of times and dig. Got some clad and a 1916 Merc...no D mint mark though :BangHead: The area in the back is the location the Officers button came out of.

Nice finds there! I just got a 12 x 15 sef and a 7 x 4.6 excelerator I'm anxious to try. My back yard is a great candidate for the smaller coil because it must've been a dump in the 20's or 30's....drives most detectors and coils crazy....I prefer the 4 tone ferrous lately with pitch hold. I'm sure my tastes will be changing as I get to know this detector!

I've had this coil for about a week now, and it is a little gem. In my thoroughly worked out plot, I've been pulling out numerous 22 caps, shotgun primers, assorted very small shards of brass, tack heads, etc., some at significant depth, all of which had the potential to be smaller buttons or very worn or minorly deformed small foreign colonials. Today for instance, I pulled out an 1874 indian out a tiny piece of ground I'd worked hundreds of times with bigger coils on both the white's, as well as the white's bb coil and the explorer xs small coil (forget the name). Anyway, the depth on this thing is amazing in good ground. I buried a dime a few weeks ago at a depth I could barely read using very high sensitivity. Eventually rains and trodding on the ground caused the signal to be lost all together regardless of the settings I used. yesterday I went over the same area with the 6" and the signal was clear at 24 sensitivity. I wish I'd had this coil years ago.

I ordered mine through kellyco, get in touch with JW.

mine was on back order but he kept me and others informed about the when and where it was coming in.

pulled in three more silvers yesterday. one being my 1st SLQ. and my 1st war nickel
