There is now an UPGRADE for the CTX-3030....

MinLab has just put out an upgrade for the CTX-3030. One of the new features is a Seawater setting. The new upgrades are in Exchang 2 now. You can read about the new upgrades on the Minelab website.

Wow good to hear. May let a few other folks be the testers on this one mine works great now hate to update it. May give it a shot going now to check the update out.

Jason

But thanks for mentioning it again.

Just upgraded my 3030 Thank You Minelab for changing the pinpoint . I went into the options setting and turn on the pinpoint I like it click it on and click it off awesome.. Thanks You :minelab::thumbup:

Just upgraded my CTX. Love the pinpoint lock also! Great work! Thanks so much! One minor problem -- I tried to download the updated manuals, but they seem to be in a protected directory and will not download.

This is so cool. Minelab was actually listening to the forums and peoples suggestions about the pinpoint button and put it in the software. How cool is that?

I am logged in correctly to Minelab's site but cannot download anything, I receive the following error message:

I'm old school, is it possible to send in the CTX for the upgrade?

Reason why is my assibitily to the Internet is by cell phone only.

Thanks,
Paul (Ca)

I am not very computer savvy, but I was able to download the upgrades with no problem. "Hats Off" to Minelab for listening.

Dave

Paul, I'd guess Minelab would be willing to do that for you. But instead of having that shipping expense, is there a Minelab dealer in your neck of the woods? Or maybe computer access at the neighbors or another detectorist in your town? Heck, you may even take it by the local High school and see if one of the computer classes (or teachers) would do it for you. It only takes a few minutes. Worth asking around, anyway. Hate to see anyone spend $$ when there may be other options. HH Randy

You must have a friend with a computer where you could do the upgrade. Way better than sending ot in.

Dave

Thanks Randy,

Think my brother has a lab top, He lives 300 miles down south so next trip down there if he does have a home computer will attempt the upgrade.

If not I'm ok with the current software, Can send it in in the distant future.

Thanks again,
Paul (Ca)

Thanks Dave,

Yes I do but hate to ask, I'll try my brothers and if that doesn't work will send it in.

Thanks again,
Paul (Ca)

If there are any dealers close by they should do the upgrade for you. Where do you live? Maybe a forum member can help you out.
