Hi All,
Took my CTX out to the Gulf for the first time. First target was a clad dime. Second rang up a strong 12-48 @ a couple of inches. I'm thinking it's ring time. Heart skipped a beat when I saw the Spanish coin in the scoop. There was that split second when you think ALRIGHT...then reality sets in and I think someone bought it at the gift shop and tossed it or lost it. Moved on and had a 13-36/37 4-6 inches. Took a couple of scoops and I see a ring in the sand. I pull it out and my heart skipped another beat. Casually I placed it in my pouch and moved on thinking I may have just paid for my new machine. Not so fast...FAKE!
Overall I did enjoy my first real water hunt. The CTX did false when a wave went over it. Fairly easy to get use to. Will try some of the suggestions I've seen on the forum. Scooping is more of a challenge then in the lake I tried last week.
