I love my F5 but sometimes I need somethhing that will get real depth in hot ground. From past experience with a number of makes and models I knew that both the Coin$trike and the Explorer would do the job. The hipmount feature of the C$ was the deciding factor between the two. I bought a used 5" coil a couple of months ago in acticipation of getting another one (thanks Keith!). Its just been setting there like that GEICO money, staring at me. :)

Thanks to Mr Bill and his knowledge of a good deal when he sees it, he was able to get a few re-furbished C$'s and offer them at reduced prices. I knew right away it was time to buy and I did. It arrived this week and all I can say is I got a sweet, brand new Coin$trike for a price I would never have dreamed of. Thank you Mr. Bill. :beers:

and I have a old friend back.

I've never really logged alot of hours on a Coinstrike but it did seem like a great unit.I've really gotten attached to the Edge and I see alot of the same similarities in both machines. I noticed one thing is the Edge and Coinsrike seem close in depth and affinity for round objects deeper than other top of the line detectors. But one thing the Edge seems deeper in disturbed ground like plowed ground and such. Dont know why ? And virtually no electrical interferance.

I do wish the Edge would of got a Backlight and something to allow you to manually adjust ground balance and also give you a readout of the ground.

Good luck with it Mike
