Yuk..... glad im out of that mess. As far as equipment.... im waiting and hoping for some NEW water detectors to fall out of the sky this summer. We have seen Garrets and ML has a PI as well. Fisher or Whites might surprise us unless they jump on the band wagon with an over priced PI. Over priced PIs arent what we are looking for. We want an Xcal with CTX caps to change the coils and headphones. Those who have both the CTX and Xcal could use the GGA. Coils.... well its time to upgrade the Xcal to FBS then coils could be swapped as well. Id think that would be more cost effective for repairs as well.

Dew I dont think Minelab worries about cost. Otherwise they would not change everything on each machine that they put out. As an example they make each lower shaft slightly different so that they are not interchangeable. Put a crooked shaft on some detectors and straight shafts on other ones. Every change that they make that is not necessary costs us that use their products more money.

Ron I am so thankful that I do not live where that happens. We got a little ice and a skiff of snow last week and the state was shut down for two days. We might get a couple of inches of snow every 10 years.

I just bought a Backup Gt on the big auction site. Hope it is in the condition that the seller said that it was. If it is I got a good deal.

HH and remember that Winter does not last forever. It only seems like it does.

I just got home from shoveling sidewalks all day myself. Im with Dew, Ive had enough of this stuff. Come retirement in 8 yrs Im only coming back here in warmer months(NJ).

Im looking forward to the new Tesoro thats supposed to be coming out soon, thats one I would be interested in when thinking of a new machine. Now Minelab go ahead and suprise us with something new and not with a ridiculous price tag.....

we have some snow too and it seems like once you clean it up the wind comes up and start all over again and then we get more snow. The biggest problem is the cold weather and you know everything that breaks down is out side and the colder it gets the more things is breaking down. Since the first of Dec we have had around 45-50 days of below zero and only a few days that got to 30 degrees. This week is going to be below again and the highs in the single digits.
Been spending most of my time thawing water pipes or replacing them when not working in our bar and cafe. THIS COLD WEATHER IS GETTIN OLD!!!

Lets hope for a early spring
