Took both sons to the beach this morning - 5am to 9am. They've been in New Zealand the past two months. They used their Ace 150's and I used the Sea Hunter Mark II.
Both of them seemed more interested in playing with the sand and water than looking for targets. But I realize that they are really satisfied after they find just a few coins - so don't want to push them to metal detect for many hours when there are also many other things they do enjoy at the beach too.
For me I was digging plenty of iron and plenty of junk rings too. My finds are the fish hook remover and above.
1,675 yen in coins (about US$15)
A game token to the right of the junk rings.
Younger son - 51 yen and a zebra, and a sausage.
Elder son - silver ring
360 yen in Japanese coins, also a 20 cent Singaporean coin - bottom right.
Nice to get out there again with them.
