The wonders of the Internet

Most of you have seen that picture of me and my brother Gary with Santa in 1945. The scare Santa?

Well I have a Facebook account and a bunch of pictures from my youth, that one included. I have run across a few that I went to school with and guys I worked with 40 years ago, etc. I have it set up so anyone can see my pictures.

A gal sent me an email yesterday saying, "That's my Santa!" WTF? Her santa? She is a realitor that lives in Florida now and is in Arizona on vacation. She was looking at facebook and another guy from my past. He was linked to me and she looked a the pictures and saw the Santa picture. She knew that santa. She is going to send me a picture of her, she must have been around 4 or so, with that same santa. Like who else would look like that creepy sucker :D

Ends up that she is from Keego Harbor too and grew up with us. I didn't know her as she was a couple years younger than me, she must have gone to school with my brother Gary. In fact her dad, Ben Mosier was fire chief in Keego after my dad quit the job.

I know some of you don't care for it but I have found it mighty useful once I learned some of its uses and how to weed out what I don't care about. Sure shrinks the world down.

Here is the picture for those of you that don't remember it. I will post hers as soon as she sends it to me :D

Small World indeed :D

He was the Mad Monk, who served as as a saintly mystic, visionary, healer and prophet for Russian Emperor Nicholas II, his wife Alexandra and family. Maybe he got away and was being Santa after leaving Russia.

Gotta wonder how many kids had nightmares because of that face!

Yeah the Internet is amazing. Face-book has reconnected lots of friends and family, but mostly I watch and listen to what's going on without very much interaction.

I noticed you disappeared off my page so I guess I was one of those that got weeded?

Ahh, such is life in the computer age!,

I had about 8 disappear and figured they might not like my opinions :D

That happened about two weeks ago, maybe longer

it maybe because of the more frequent post there, and they don't like getting the nag screens, so drop out of it. We use the club facebook to get the young folks online looking for something to do on the weekends. It increased our head count at events by around a 100 people for spectators. At $10.00 a head, thats good for the club.
