The waiting game....

Yesterday I went to the heart specialist for a follow-up, waited in the exam room exactly 1 hour, saw the Dr. 5 minutes. Today I went to the family Dr. for a follow-up, waited in the exam room 45 minutes, saw Dr. 10 minutes. Went to Wal-Mart to get prescriptions filled, waited 30 minutes, checked and was told would take another 30 minutes, total, 1 hour. Glad I'm a patient man, bugs the heck out of my wife though.

Hope your ticker is ok:thumbup:

does. To bad we could not charge them for over booking that hour they gave you to show up. Guess as more and more
doctors refuse the payment scale from Medicare, and there are less doctors available, it will only get worst. Like Royal said, if your in retirement you have more time to waste. Good luck with the ticker... I' m a member of the zipper club myself from a quad bypass.

It is best to just grit your teeth and roll with the punches...that is just the way things are when you have a doctor's appointment. One time I waited over an hour, and when I asked his nurse why it took so long, she got an attitude towards me. I figured out a way to pay her back. I had to pizz in a little cup, and then put it on a shelf of a medicine cabinet that had two doors. The nurse would open the other door and get the little cup. Well, I tee teed all the way to the lip of that cup before I placed it on the shelf of that two door medicine cabinet. She got angry because she could not retrieve the cup without spilling it. she never again messed with me. I have always wondered if she had told the doctor what I had done. Kelley (Texas) :)

to wait more than 5 minutes or so past the appointment time. It is a huge practice though. 19 doctors! I always get my own though unless I have to go on her day off. Best I have ever had

I tried to return a garden hose that burst just a day after purchase,no deal without a receipt.I told them to fo and left. The young woman security lady said that I was banned,,yea yea like I miss buying thier cwap,,,sorry for going off topic,,banned from Ebay also for a month, gee and everyone thought I was really timid :)

your name and they have a copy of every receipt you need. I have never been able to hold on to a receipt but never had a problem with a return.

So far I have only waited for family members who have had to play the "game".

I refuse to do so and one day it may be the death of me!!

What the hey, life's a crap-shoot anyway!!
