It also had the adjustable surface fianker. I had a piece of solid iron ore abour 10" across and 5" thick. I ground balanced every make and model I could
get, including motion units, non would pemetrate in disv and hit a dime-but the Compass did. But they ceased production when Teknetics hit the market;
A shame-they were on to something.
 
Sounds like a neat detector, Compass did come out with good units allot of them are still used today for serious hunting.

The Compass Coin Magnum is one that has eluded my collection, But hear from others it was a good machine.
