THE VERDICT??"Lizzie Borden most likely behind the Axe Murders"...............

....I seen a show today on the Discovery Channel,about the modern-day investigation into the Borden axe murders in Fall River,Massachusettes in1892.There were 4 people listed as suspects-lizzie,another sister,a nephew,and a maid.2 modern day detectives did the investigation.Part of their work on it involved using Luminol-the chemical police use to find cleaned-up blood-for the very 1st time.The basement area lit up like a Christmas tree with possible blood residue.Their theory is that Lizzie was molested by the father on a regular basis,and she snapped.WHYdid they find no blood on her when she was questioned??They theorized she killed them naked,and washed up in the basement afterward.That same theory was offered in a movie in which Elizabeth Montgomery played lizzie,a good many years ago.The detectives also surmised the maid knew about it;and helped Lizzie in hiding the evidence-It was known the Bordens were harsh employers.............

I often wonder why they waste so much money on the investigation of all the past murders and murderers, especially when they are so old and all the people are dead! Supposed to be digging up the body of John Wilkes Booth who supposedly killed pres Lincoln...why botheras the past is in the past! Ma Betty

Amen MaBetty! Some things just shouldn't be looked into, dug up, or examined. If half the money spent on digging up the past, on a national level, were spent helping those in the present, this would be a nation better off.
