The value of GunnarMN and 53 Silver.

I am not trying to highjack other threads.

Tesoro ought to appreciate Gunnar and Silver!
After all the controversy and rumors as of late Tesoro should be paying these guys for their service. These guys have been the one's selling the Outlaw, not Tesoro.
For all of the website downtime that Tesoro has, for the airing of Roberts departure, for Nathan's "official" Tesoro statement, for the Golden's cease of production, and all the other riff-raff. I would think Tesoro would at least make a gesture to these guys.
It is these two guys and not Tesoro that sells these machines. Keep it up guys Tesoro needs you.

Jason thanks, but we are nothing special, we just have video cams, I am just gladd tesoro makes nice light machines that work good,

I agree.
It is the unbiased testimony of you guys that makes the difference. I know you both
use multiple machines as I've seen all your videos. But you both displayed shock in some way that the little outlaw pulls off big feats. If Tesoro had the proper PR, you and everyone else wouldn't be so shocked.

Jasonspaz, I would like to appologize for not have the 5.5 Million Dollars for marketing that our competitors are able to spill into the industry. We have always been a small company, making QUALITY machines instead of hundred of thousands that are not the greatest quality. We don't produce Coke comercials for the super bowl, and three thousand pages of paper advertising a year, I'm sorry, truly for this. Tesoro has the highest respect for 53Silver and Gunner for producing community content videos that show off the awesome aspects of our machines. This in no way means we are without advertising. We currently use the budget we have for the most "bang for the buck", 6 magazines, 17 websites, and multiple global ads around the planet. And yet none of these can hold a candle to the word of mouth from our already loyal customers who believe in our machines.

Well said TesoroMD...Tesoro is a fine company that cares about it's customers and it's service and warranty is second to none. Long live Tesoro!!

Ok when Garrett came out with the AT-PRO the buzz was created by users taking a simple video camera and interviewing Brett weaver, and vaugh Garrett about the AT-PRO in addition to making a few in the field videos. All done with a cheap video camera with a zero budget. The strength of those videos and the buying power they created was through you tube.
When Fisher made the F70 and F75 they did the same thing on a zero budget and the use of youtube, the results where powerful.
Instead of pumping out your newsletters which are the same articles every month and probably cost more to print. Just cultivate your fans and have them make videos with their Tesoro reviews and features of the machines.
For a guy that doesn't want to mud sling, I sense much sarcasm when you speak of coke and sports advertising. I want an outlaw. Not from the blunder of it's release, not from what was stated on the Tesoro website(when it is working) I want one from what Gunnar and silver said and showed.
You need someone like me or those others to show you how to use you tube and real human field tests and machine discussions. Let me help you and I promise you will increase sales. I want to be an ally. But I must be blunt and say as of now when You say it costs to much $$ to advertise that tells me you are not aware or know how to build buzz leading to the big reval followed by users who for free will give the best demo of a new machine. People love the fact that Tesoro is still analog. But you need to embrace the digital world that will give you free advertising and bring sales and reputationthe up-to-date and beyond the Other Manufactures .
Feel free to contact me. Please no hard feelings

If Norfolk Wolf-Regton can produce Tesoro vids in the UK demoing and describing the detectors, that are very nicely done........why should Tesoro spent money and time duplicating them?
Actually Tesoro should do the very same thing "cheap" with the US based units and have thier own You Tube channel. I am sure they would have a lot of subcribers in short order.
Probably get away with $1000 for video gear and surely someone at Tesoro has some computer skills to spend time time editing a video.....................
This Delta Epsi terminology sounds greek to me, seems like it some ones desire to fashion itself like the Greek machines made by Tek................besides trying to invent new industry standard terminology for
a lowly electrical pin and socket connectors .........................which doesn't sound Tesoro like.....just a thought. So when I need a new connector, I'll call Switchcraft and ask for a Epsilon connector?
This is only constructive criticism to keep the Tesoro image as a ustic, fun, easy to use, family machine. I am not interested in beer guzzling frat house sorority sounding terminology.

Exactly Sven.
I mean come on how many times can the same old stories and field tests be run in the Tesoro news letter.
Remember when fisher showed the F75 under a sheet. Just by analyzing the curves and bends you knew it was a beauty.
The name wasn't even announced and the pre orders where out the door. And that was after First Texas purchased and saved Fisher from a dying reputation.
A video could have a narration of an older fellow(without seeing his face) talking about how great it was back in the days with no bells and whistles machines. "We didn't need a video game as a target id meter. We used our ears.......And we knew when we where onto a silver or gold target by using the best machine that lies between our ears" He then rumbles know your Tesoro and your best finds will call to you.
The narration would end with quick shadowy glimpses of a Hunter at a beach, the woods, out in front of an old haunted looking house, in all these images you would see glimpses of the new machine and shots of coins, jewelry, and relics being found.
The thunder starts and the old man suddenly stops as it starts to pour hard out.
He pauses for a moment and the under his obscured face, he forms a wicked smile and then keeps on detecting in the yard of that old house in the pouring rain.. Screen turns to black and the words appear.Coming 10/31/13 to scare the competition. THE DIABLO NeXt

From right there someone would think. Ok that machine called the Diablo Next can get gold in the desert, find old coins in old parks, I looks like it handles the wet salt sand so I guess it would work in the ocean as well well as a public park., And wow it started raining and he kept on detecting .. A video like that can be done by people I know with simplified the counter pc software and a video consumer level HD camera. Up load that free to the free tesoro YouTube channel and the buzz and pre orders would go nuts. At the end the guy narrating would say. hank God they don't make detectors like he used to as he pulls up a Spanish 2 Deals in the pouring rain.

Think about and other home made videos that can put tesoro In a situation that their beep and dig analog philosophy is still the best.

The print ads don't scream this a professional machine. One Tesoro article says discover what's hidden below. And what is the the key object to be discovered by the Tesoro...A toy space man action figure.
How about a pine trees Schilling instead of a space man.

Seriously I know this seems like bashing but it is not. I want Tesoro to have the elite reputation it deserves. Why do you think so many people hide the cibola and vaquero stickers. You can't deny human subconscious. People feel silly with purple and lime green machines. Go for red and black or silver and black. Remember the fisher id edge with the flames. Yuk!
We know Tesoro makes awesome machines but prospective newbies say the look like toys. That image can be beat with teaser images and in depth video presentations. And fOr the last time it won't cost millions or even thousands. Nathan said the company is thriving., Really.
Never mind bringing in professional advertise agencies. US forum members are the answer. Give out some stingrays sand sharks and outlaws to people who know how to detect and document the detectors strengths. Then under a disclosure agreement send out some prototypes for testers to tease as to what is coming. At worst you would give away a couple complimentary machines.

They both do a great job clearly explaining how to use Tesoro detectors.

I would have never purchased a Vaquero if I had not watched their videos.

So what do you use? 223, 243, ?? :)

Mike i use the Death clutch gopher traps, and the best are, the Cinch traps. theis are the under ground gophers not the stipes, they do alot of damige, but if you look at the dirt in the mounds they can give away old house sites, I have found arrowheads and old glass in them that has led to priveys, they have distroyed the trees and feild. but hey i get 2.00$ each for a gopher what is funny the best tools for setting traps are also the best for metal detecting. so it goes hand in hand , also gets me onto property to metal detect as the landowners want them trapped, its the moles that are so hard to trap .

Sounds like a win, win! Nice.

With over 3500 captures in 6 years you must becoming bored with the usual death clutch gopher traps....Maybe this year you can add in some chase or tackle gopher scenes to the video and deliver your own "Jimmy Snuka" Maybe even stand outside the gopher hole and wait with a golf club... Come on Gunster make it challenging lol
Thanks for posting all your fine metal detecting videos. I always learn something new. - Jimmy

"Toy space man action figure"....I laughed hard and know exactly what you're talking about.
