The V3 is the most seductive detector I have ever used....

Seductive...???

I cannot quite put my finger on it but there is some intangables that are really nice about this machine. Everything about it comes together so nicely.

I was frustrated with it at first but I have really come to like it. I like my other machines too, well most of them, but this one is the only one that is seductive. I don't really know why I choose that word to describe it but there it is... maybe it is that it is a little nit mysterious but it delivers the goods and with such style and grace. The tones are sweet, the colors and curves of the analize screen are so pleasing... and the finds are GOOD!!

When I was frustrated, trying to get comfortable with it I considered selling it but as I mentioned in another post, I loaned to a friend while he sent his Vision in for the updates. By the time he got the Vision back I was sort of missing the V3 and ready to get it back. Since then I have really enjoyed using it and I think that the break from it really helped. Now, I wouldn't consider selling it.

Anyway... I think the V3 is a real pleasure to use and it is a shape shifter... if you don't like something about it, you can change it... White's really put a lot of thought into the user experience when they designed this detector and it shows.

Julien, A lot of us went through ups and downs of learning this machine too. It seems like when I first was using it, I was always questioning myself and it wasn't that I wasn't finding good stuff but all the info wasn't understood by me. Use has made me realize that it all is consistant and if it is a little skewed, an adjustment was a little off or this "skewing" was a new "norm". Now I'm making it run smooth and am recognizing new style signals. I've talked about how I've pounded a park across the street from me and stated that I was sure not much was left? BULL!!! I really fell for this new machine when something new "clicked" and I pulled up a whole slew of silver and wheats from depth! (I was in rapture!) It was all during a night hunt and I was enjoying a huge color screen,info like never before, glowing controls and spanking through the best interface on the planet! (I'm still learning so much and my ignorance of it all is actually giving much anticipation of more jumping around like a fouth grader...in the dark!!!) One thing that has my juices really going is using this thing on jewelry hunts...like no other machine I have ever used! My time has been really restricted so not much time but....way, way higher jewelry count for time spent. As we all get this thing down, we'll be able to take advantage of White's "Do something.... with all this control" engineering style. It has been a pleasure so far Whites and thanks for not treating us like mindless cattle!
