The V Nickel tree had a Barber.

Went back to the tree I found the three V Nickels and IH yesterday, and plucked a nice 1912 Barber dime. So far this little spot has been really good to me. Nice that the CTX is waterproof. It was a mess today.

Good stuff Ron. You need to name that tree the "money tree" Nicely done! HH Randy

Nice - love hunting around those old trees - I can just imagine folks lying under them100 years ago, beating the heat and getting out of the sun!

The Barber dime I found today was on its edge, and not very deep. I really got lucky that I stopped my coil over that spot for a second more. I barely heard a squeak. I started to wiggle a tight little spot, and it screamed high tone, so I dug it. It's amazing how many we miss every day when we work the same spots. Keep going back to those places that have produced, and you can still be surprised.
