Bruce and I hit an iron infested Beach that has produced well in the past for us....The only problem is that it appeared to be verrrry sanded in....were we in for a surprise! It just goes to show that you never stop learning something new everytime at your favorite beaches !!.....

Wow,

That area looks like a detectorists dream come true. Wish I had that beach in my backyard.

Awesome video. You have a real knack for mixing things in videos that makes them very interesting to watch. Minelab would do well to hire you to make some promotional videos. One thing that makes your videos interesting to watch is that you show the good and the bad. Most promtional ads and videos only show the good, which makes my eyes glaze over.

Another good video, looks like a great day.

I just try to "keep it real".....The manufacturers have to show all the best finds to peak the interest of their potential buyers. I'm not aiming at that here.....these forums are mostly "brag" forums (not like there is anything wrong with that) I hope with these videos to maybe inspire the novice by showing that not everyday is a bonanza.....and learning what to do and where to do it is key to building success in this hobby/sport. I think what I do is different from most on here.....The video is a fairly new format on these forums....I enjoy making them and it has become kind of a subhobby that has flowered out of my passion of Beach and Surf hunting.....I'm just trying to share it with everyone on here....And to those on here that resent me for talking and showing too much....well....I hope they can all get over it and just get out there and hunt and enjoy the day out....and realize that by using me and my videos as a scapegoat because they had a bad day on the beach....well that isn't going to change anything....soooo....enough of my rant....Glad to help and get out there and find yourself some gold already !!!

I'm glad that you don't let anyone discourage you. I enjoy your videos although I feel pangs of envy sometimes ;). I'm not a novice although beach hunting is fairly new to me. I find your videos to be great motivation. We currently have pretty intense weather by southern California standards so I'm hoping to be scoring some gold in the next few days by hunting the wet sand. HH!

Fantastic video series!! I watch everyone with great interest. Please continue them. What are you using to take these videos, might want to give it a try myself here from the south shore of Long Island!! Tony

Thanks for another great video. I hope you keep making them I look forward to every one. I am not totally new but I feel I have gotten more productive by practicing what you teach.

keep them videos comming.........:clapping::detecting::minelab::thumbup:

Really like seeing that old gold ring come up! Very lovely ring. Gives me beach hunting fever. Currently booked stuff looks like I probably won't make a beach hunt until March.

Got to love seeing those big thick chunks of broken shell all in a thick line. Shows things got pushed in. The few necklaces I've turned up at the beach have been in that shell line ... as well as other goodies.

Thanks for posting the videos!

HI Folks; Great videis.!!!!! Not to preach but the only comon error I saw to suggestt is just to fill your hles a little better. Up Here in Boston if we don't do it we get screamed at by the locals, the police and other trreasure hunters. They even write negative articles in the papers here.
I only mean it with the best of intentions ok. I do wish you all the best and did enjoy yur videos, Anyway Until later; PEACE:RONB :detecting:

...That's kinda funny.....but trust me all those holes are filled on that beach.....that is semi-loose sand where you see the holes and we were digging some pretty deep targets so there is alot of disturbed sand.....We don't neatly level out the holes after we fill them so you might see a slight depression or two......I say it's funny and maybe more Ironic.....because I have the reputation of being the "hole filling policeman" of the beach.....I am known for putting the verbal smackdown on folks that don't fill their holes.....my confrontations with careless detectorists are kinda legendary out there....I have been hunting for 34 years and strictly follow the code of ethics....oh and also I'm a past vice President of the FMDAC....but thanks for pointing it out anyway....HH...Brian

Hey Brian, just an fyi. Why quit at dark? I got one of these and it's fully submersible. I'm sure y'all have something similar, but it helps if the finds are coming you don't have to quit cuz you can't see.

Once again, great vids!

Really good videos. I am so glad you show the searching and the recovery. It's kind of boring to watch endless pictures of the beach and mundane comments about what is being shown. Now if you could just get live detector sounds added to the videos, it would even be more of an entertaining learning tool.

On a different subject, would you mind sharing your knowledge about what video equipment you chose and why? If you don't want to put it here a PM is fine. I am thinking about getting a video camera and if I could learn as much about them as I have watching your detecting videos, it's be a real bonus to me. Thanks...Jim

Hey Joe....I work up there and I see it everyday....and in the last week I have seen no less than 8 people out there before I ever posted the video....that spot gets hunted hard anyway....and look what we did out there !!........lets face it....you know where that is and the guys that hunt it know where it is....but believe me unless you know the landmarks and have never been there....you can only guess.....in fact I'll do one better...I challenge the "mobs of beach hunters" to come on down and hunt it....yeah bring the charter buses!!....I guarantee you that they won't.............another reality.....the folks that do what we do and do it well on a regular basis is a verrrrry verrrrrry small community....you know that very well....me?.....I'm not real worried....all the attention to Atlantic City as a beach hunter's paradise hasn't done much so far....I hunt it and spot those beaches all week long on my beat....and yes, I see a few beach hunters here and there but so far they haven't put a dent in the hunting....the good hunters (the very few) that know those beaches and the techniques that it takes to find coins and jewelry will be consistently successful the rest are just "skimmers" and they aren't a big threat in my book am I worried?? not a chance!!....JMHO....Hey Joe....good to hear from you on here now and again!.............HH....Brian

This is a tiny silver link to a bracelet that was commonly sold on the Boardwalk in the 1920's in Atlantic City....the left heart is engraved "Renee" and the right heart says"Ray" and it is stamped "STERLING" on the back....I have found a few of these over the years on these beaches in AC.....I just love digging old jewelry !!

I have watched all your video's even told other to watch them, Your really doing something that I wish I had the video talent to do.

I have the talent to teach people how to use a detector and how to detect.

I just am not very good with bring it all together. I have however Purchased a Flip.

I have been playing with it. I use it to answer questions in video's. So, We will see where it goes.

Keep up the good work.......I am surpised...I have not been caught by your video yet. LOL

To keep going when dark, I've used harbor freight head mount 5 LED light. Kind of like the one Gulf Hunter posted but with LED's and not an incandescent bulb. The batteries last a long long time with the LED's and there is plenty of light. They also have a LED light that clips on a ball cap bill. I haven't tried that one yet. Both lights are $5.99 each.
