The Ugly Twin emerges!!!

New member
I got an early start this morning, ready to get out and do some detecting. For the last 2 days, I've been on taxi duty, having to take BCM to the doctor to have her stitches removed from her forehead and ferrying the family kitties to the vet. So I was at the lake by 7:00 an amd ready to hit some water and hopefully some GOLD. But alas, no GOLD for BCD!! Here's my rig for the day!! AT Pro on a Plugger straight shaft, Grey Ghost 'phones, 5 x 8 coil, gloves, PFD, sifter and scoop.

So I imagine you're wondering where the Ugly Twin fits in, right?? Well, a couple of weeks ago, in this same swim area, I scooped what I thought was the Worlds Ugliest Earring and it was confirmed by BCM, she being "The One Who Must Be Listened To", aka my wife.
So today, I scooped it's mate. What are the odds?? Now I'm the proud owner of a matched set of The Worlds Ugliest Earrings! See?

Here's the total take for the day. I did manage to snag a nice honker Titanium ring.

Here's a closeup of the ring. I think the little tiny diamond might be real as the ring is pretty beat up from being worn for a long time, but the little tiny stone doesn't have a scratch. It's probably only a $10 stone but that's OK by me!!

Happy Hunting everybody and let's see some posts on here. I know some of you guys have got to be finding something!!!

I will nominate you for a Nobel Beautification prize, for removing both of those earrings from the public eye LOL. They look like they mighta rung up as a nice signal. Nice haul, and you get some fishing tackle to boot. Artie

I've dug some pretty ugly jewelry, but I think the crown goes to you! I hope you get a big, fat gold ring on your next outing in thanks for grinding those twins into powder!

Well, at least you got something no body else will ever find! Hey, it is rare to find a matching set...hope the next ones are solid, goldy, heavy, and huge!

the ring is very cool, i am sure authentic diamond.
Some people do not lose their ear earrings, simply throw them into the water when you do not like. For this reason you find the couple.
The person who shot never thought that someone were to get out of there, if you could return them .... they would fall in ass :rofl:
I can not congratulate you, laughter will not let me, BCD  que feos son!!
Senda

This is awesome...I thought I was the ultimate in finding the ugliest jewelry! Good hunting; the world is a better place.

Hey BCD, Can you give YOUR Opinion on Plugger's Straight Shaft: For instance how long you have been using it/Does it NOTICABLY CUT-DOWN on Hand Fatigue/Does it IMPROVE your VIEWING Angle? Also anything else you can think of!! Many THANKS, Les Robinson

Here's a reply I gave a couple of month ago.

I prefer a straight shaft myself. They give you better control over your swing and are better balanced. They are adjustable so you can get your arm in there just right. The Plugger comes with a Whites lower shaft and an aluminum arm cuff. I ordered the little stand for it, but moved it behind the cuff and used Magic tape to keep it on. I kept hitting it on my leg when it was mounted below the hand grip like they show. I wish they did a better job on the bend for the control housing, it's crimped and not real attractive but it doesn't affect the strength of the hand grip and housing mount. The coil cable on the ATP is kinda short and I needed to use more Magic tape to secure the cable properly. Anderson has been threatening for over a year to come out with a shaft, but it has yet to materialize. I have 2 of their shafts for my Excaliburs and they are the top of the line. I'm about to give up on them and just buy a couple more Pluggers for my other ATP and At Gold.
