OK, so I found a couple of vacant lots last week. First I hunted it with my T2, I did not have my F75 yet. I found a few pennies, one was wheatie. Two silver quarters and a mercury dime with the T2. I got the F75 and hunted the same area where I found the silver and the pennies, the area is about 800 sq ft. I found a few more pennies, (no zincers), and three nickles, one was a buffalo. I hit the area four times on four different days with the F75.
I went back today for about an hour and hit the same spot again with my Tejon using the 5.75" coil and found two pieces of lead that I should have found with any machine. They are the two odd shapes in the upper left of the picture. Then a piece of mystery metal next to them. I found another quarter with a four inch square nail about five inches away from it, the nail is on the left next to the quarter. Another dime, next to the quarter. Another nickle with a nut in the same hole. All these out of the same 800 sq ft area. Then under an old clothesline that I have hit at least three times, once with the T2 and twice with the F75... I found the token there.
Then there is a place over on the other side of the property that is absolutely loaded with bottle caps and trash. It is a smaller area, maybe 200 sq ft. I tried hunting it with the F75 and gave up because I had a signal every few inches. I spent about five minutes there with the Tejon's disc maxed and pulled an older memorial cent, next to the token in the picture.
Yes, we need a small coil for the F75 but I am not convinced that the samller coil will make it as useful as the Tejon with the small coil just because the Tejon is so much quieter, I am willing to be convinced though.
