The three coin recovery test

This was mentioned on the Vision forum to test recovery speed, place 3 quarters 3 inch's apart and see if you get 3 seperate tones on a fast sweep..They said very few detectors can do this...I actually placed the quarters touching each other (no distance between them) and the Etrac gave me 3 seperate tones...A poster on there said no detector can do this??....Can one of you run this test also for a second opinion
 
Can you tell me how yours is set up to do this? I will try it after while. Thanks

my guess is that the responses you got were from the two outer rings of the coil and the center, and the etrac probably read that as one target.

with the coins 3" apart I would guess the Fisher F75, Shadows X5 and X3 and Minelab Advantage should all hit them seperately. The Whites MXT might also with the 6x10 DD coil. Those are the fastest responders Ive used.
