The things we agree too :stars:

The little woman was after me to trim my detectors down. We are in a small apartment and space gets tight sometimes. Even more so since I bought a water heater sized telescope a couple of months ago. So I made this simple agreement that I would keep my detectors down to just one and so I sold all but our Golden Toysoro and then picked out the CoinStrike for my "one" machine. I thought everything was fine:detecting:

Then I go and get this itch for another machine that I just had to scratch. Nothing I could do about it but scratch it. Then I break the news to the little lady and guess what she reminded me of? She must have a memory like an elephant

:argue:so we go back and forth and I finally give in and say ok I'll only keep one. As I really want to spend some time with the new one I agree to put the CS up for sale. But grudgingly. Happily no one wanted it

I've been working on her and will continue to work on her to let me keep both. I'm hoping she will eventually see it my way.

Funny I had these exact two machine together last year

I think I need help:stretcher:

but I never make the mistake of agreeing to only keep one machine. Mine was two hahahahahaha and she pretty much keeps my feet to the fire on that deal.

Now, you and I both know, that even if you sell the Coinstrike, you will get another in short order like I did. I won't say that I will never sell or trade mine again, because when I get that old familiar itch, no detector is safe. But, since I made the horrendous mistake of selling my other C$, it will be the last one that I would consider letting go.

The new MXT I just got would be the first on the chopping block if I have the itch again. Which I'm starting to feel it just a little towards the T2, which I played with a little, but didn't keep it long enough to really give it a run.

I did have to part with the accessory coils for another reason but I seem to be gaining ground over the machine with various sweets and endearments  She's weakening  I'm thinking a special dinner out will tip the scales all the way over into my favor :inlove:

Then I'll be ok until #3 shows up

but my max has been set to 5. I got rid of my Explorer XS and will get either the Explorer SE or the Fisher 75.

It doesn't have to be far just make it romantic. Get a nice room somewhere for the weekend with a hot tub. Just don't make it in Roswell and dont take a detector or your scope along.

start regional self-help groups for those of us who just keep changing our minds about which is THE machine, keep buying/trying/selling, think about detecting ALL of the time or neglect our jobs at work or at home, wives and children(if were not already divorced)to hunt all weekend long for just one more...IH or silver dime...I think I would be the first to sign up sometimes...:detecting:

I'll just take it out 9 or 10 times a week to make sure the batteries are OK. Then if they do run out I'll have you send me up some more.

This morning she gave in. I get to keep my CoinStrike! :inlove:

I could alway keep it but you know how it is if you are doing something the little lady doesn't approve of. You always get those little "reminders". Well now I can hang onto it with out any of those

Course the wording used reflected her knowledge of me and this hobby. I believe the exact words where, "You can keep it until you get tired of it and want to sell it". :yikes:

Yep...she wants a new sofa. Leather if I remember correctly
