the thing about my jewelry finds...

is this: i have found jewelry in quantity, but rarely ever quality pieces. believe it or not, most of the pieces in the pics i posted last night were damaged. the clasps on many of the necklaces are broken, but not worth it to have them fixed. most of the rings are severely scuffed or bent out of shape, and most are cheap. there's a couple of nice sterling rings and 3 10k-14k rings in there too. the nickel plated mickey mouse fork was found at an old homesite dating from the 1920s. the xmas ornament was laying on top of the ground at another old homesite, recently vacated. so i can't say that iv'e ever found the really good gold and silver pieces. some of the pieces pictured are the cheap italy made "14k" a lot of people know about. but it was always fun to find it all. the really good jewelry has always eluded me. oh well, just hafta keep looking. hh,

It's the thrill of even finding the cheap stuff that keeps everyone excited. I can't wait till I find my first piece of cheap or good jewelery. HH

I find that every piece is a treasure I have found good stuff and I have found junk but I could not sell any of it .I just love to hunt the stuff and my wife is just as bad.great forum will post soon
