The Tesoro Outlaw Is One Super Nice Detector

I'm really liking what I'm seeing and hearing so far.

The Outlaw's audio tone is very pleasing to listen to and carries a wealth of information in its single tone.

I like its audio tone a whole lot better than I do on my Bandido II uMax and Vaquero (both low & high tone).

The 8 inch doughnut coil is may favorite coil. It's very light and is a breeze to swing all day long. It also gets good depth and separation.

I want to get out and do some real field testing with the Outlaw, but the high temperature and lack of rain is keeping me hunkered down for now.

Glad you got it ! Keep us updated, yep same here the heat is to tough for me right now! Congrats!

Thanks for the update TABMAN! So hot here in NJ too. I went out Saturday morning and between the heat, humidity and rock hard soil, I only lasted about 45 minutes. I'm lookin forward to seeing what the Outlaw can do. Hows the auto-tune on it?
Stay cool buddy

You lucky guy, a new Outlaw and an Eldo on the same day:thumbup: Is it your B day or early Christmas? It's gonna be hard to decide what detector to use, suppose you could hunt both at the same time as light as they are:tesoro:

Also in the same very day:) I had Rusty Henry and his wife drop by my house on their way from Arizona to visit realities in Chattanooga, TN. Two of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. I didn't get a 'real' Outlaw. I'm using on loan from Rusty his prototype with a 8 inch doughnut coil attached to it that he has been testing for around 6 months. The Outlaw has been in the testing stage for a very long time and it shows. I really like the Outlaw a whole lot and would purchase one in a heartbeat, except for the fact that I would have to purchase the larger 12 x 10 DD coil with it and it's just a tad too heavy for may bad arm. Heck, my arm is so sensitive to weight that I'm even switching out the 9 x 10 inch coils that came on my detectors to 8 inch doughnut coils. For those with a average good arm, they will find the 12 x 10 DD coil very easy to swing. Pinpointing is a breeze with the 12 x 10 DD coil using the 'no motion' pinpoint on the Outlaw. I was told that the last detector made by Tesoro with a 'no motion' pinpoint, was Bandido II uMax. I really like the 'no motion' pinpoint, it's like have a giant ProPointer.:)

I really like the auto-tune. I'm so happy for everyone that you will be doing a video on the Outlaw, so they can hear for themselves how sweet the Outlaw sounds.

Well Tabman.....

That's more great news, I'm sure Rusty was a 'hoot' to talk to, you are truely fortunate. If you was to buy the Outlaw, I'd like a shot at buying the 10X12" DD coil from you. Good luck with your recent acquisitions. BTW, I wonder why Rusty never posts on here, I'd like to read a test of the new Outlaw written by him, he is a good writer as I have read his early writtings in the old Metal Detector Information (MDI) magazines.

I had an Outlaw to field test back in May before thaey were released to the public, I got a kick out of some people saying that the Outlaw is just another blah blah blah same ole thing just with more coils.... and it don't have a display or multitines so of course it can't be any good. I had to hold my tounge & it wasn't easy as I wanted to say "I have one" and this is what it is like and how it performs, etc. Well I am glad to see that some of you all now have an Outlaw and can tell the other folks that thought they knew everything about the Outlaw without having one. It is a good machine, similar to some other Tesoro's yes but different as well.

Give me a few weeks to decide. I really should sell a couple of detectors first, before getting another one. Besides, I got a loaner Outlaw to use for now.:detecting:

I got kinda of got sidetracked, because I was wanting to try a Deleon. At any rate, you're first in line on the 12 x 10 DD coil.

Hombre you're right, Rusty is a good writer and knows what he's talking about. That's one of the reasons, I like doing business with him. That and he's a straight shooter.

You know who I'll be buying from.:) The prices are all the same, but Rusty's pointers and recommendations are priceless.
