The Tesoro metal detector chronology is:

Nothing new since 2004? I know the economy's been bad for the last couple of years but that's a bit of a stretch.

Im not missing anything.... I've bought 2 new tesoros this year ;-)

I guess they could rebadge a few detectors. Change the model #s... Maybe move some controls around and call it new.

Honestly, are the other manufacturers really offering anything new? I see new models every year though... It makes me cringe

If i counted right there are 64 units on the list.
In a 24 year span or 2.66 new units a year.and 0 in the last 6 years.

Honestly is there another manufacturer that has not put out a new model in 6 years.

Yes all company's do the tweak, add a coil move a knob and poof a new model.
This list could be cut by a 1/3 if looked at it that way.

IMO, the Gifford family producing the excellent Tesoro machines for us, do not seem to subscribe to fancy marketing schemes or label changes just to sell additional machines. With few exceptions I can see, each model of the lineup is well thought out and occupies a specific niche that it serves well.
I have no doubt when improved and serviceable technology is available at reasonable cost, Tesoro will introduce a new model for our use and enjoyment.

Gosh, I really like my Tesoros... they just do what they are supposed to !

Hey Tab, you can go to the ebay Tesoro metal detector sales "completed" list and find the $ some of the older Tesoro machines have sold for. They hold their value extremely well and the more favored ones do even better. What is a real kick in the britches is when you see how many folks, have bid on the machines.Real competition there and will reveal which are some of the more favored machines too! HH, Charlie
