Hey Guys I have decided on the Tesoro Cortes...I would lik to hear from anyone who has one now..just your 2 cents (haha) on it...the good the bad (hopefully not) but all comments are welcome..Thanks

Been using a Cortes about 3 years now, really like it. The digital display has 3 levels. For example, at the very top it could say NICKLE TAB RING, that covers a very broad range. At the same time the Bars will narrow the range down more, and then the ID numbers will narrow it down even more. So you have 3 levels of info all going at the same time. The ID numbers can be jumpy at times because they are the most precise, the Bars may be all you need for most targets. Also the depth of the coin is shown. The depth reading is handy to have, for weak signals look at the depth reading. I use the SUM mode tones to double check iron signals and for some non-ferrous signals too. The tones match up with the Bars. The labels below the meter are hard to read so I used Microsoft Excel to make a new label as seen in the photo. The two up arrows shown means to raise the coil for better meter acuracy. Flip from Disc to All Metal to get size of target and is good for depth info too. The notches will knock out many tabs and still get ladies gold rings.Great detector, fun to use, you will like it.

....and it had a review about the Cortes.
