The Tejon would be,

in my humble opinion, an almost perfect detector with the addition of two items. A manual & fixed ground balance switch and a frequency shift like the Vaquero & Cibola. The GB switch would let the operator choose either manual GB, or a preset GB like the Cibola. This would be useful in ground with little or no minerals. You can't get anywhere close to another Tejon without crosstalk and depth loss so the frequency shift would be most welcome.

I feel that the Manual Ground Balance negates the need for a preset. I haven't found any ground, even in the Tan Bark Areas that made the Ground Balance Control ineffective. Even in NON-Mineral, tweaking the Ground Balance which is like a discriminator will affect the ferrous or non-ferrous targets to a certain degree.

I fully agree with the frequency shifter.

I would also like to see a greater resolution in the sensitivity... particularly in the lower end to help the ground balance and fine tuning in moderate to severe ground mineral.

The Sensitivity should control BOTH the All Metal as well as the Discrimination mode, to make it even a BETTER prospector or Deep Coin Hunter.

The Twin Discriminator is a nice feature, but how about Visual Discrimination.

The All Metal Pin Point has a VERY Fast PIN POINT Auto Tune.....
The Ability to Turn off the Auto Tune so one can more accurately Shape, Size and Analyze the Signal Characteristics in the all metal mode.

Otherwise....... I wouldn't change a thing... its a deep seeking detector.

You need to buy the UK pro version, manual and fixed GB and a wider disc setting so that it is easier to set the disc for small, thin silver.
