The Tejon has arrived!!!

Already had it out in the front yard and found some memorials that I had missed with the silver and the golden umax's. If it wasn't sprinkling now, I would head to the county park and get to diggin, so instead I plan to do some air tests, and some sensitivity tests to see how it compares to my other two machines. Christmas in May....LIFE IS GOOD TODAY! SILVER coins....here I come!

LittleJohn

Congrats on the new machine...Always nice when it snags something your other machines left behind.

Since your already familiar with the language it shouldn't take too long to make it your favorite I'm sure.
Cheers!

It's going to the county park tonight for some "learning time". I was air testing, and discrimination testing, and I thought the wife was about to call the doctor and tell him I finally lost my sanity....it was funny.

This Tejon isn't just any ordinary Tejon though...I'll never sell this one. I like the ability to change the tonal sound of it, and already have a good spot for it, which was recommended to me by the previous owner of this machine for a specific reason.

We'll see how the test run goes tonight, I am sure it will be a long day at work waiting for the end of the day to get here.

This Tejon Rocks!

Sounds great LittleJohn! The Tejon has a couple of nice options like the tone adjustment you mentioned. The dual disc helps me when I hunt for gold with it.
If you ever run into a problem ground balancing it, ground balance it in pinpoint(with the trigger pulled towards you). thats a faster resetting all metal mode, makes it easier to gb it.
also Ive knocked the battery doors open on it when they have hit coat pockets while swinging it during colder months so I have a strip of rubber tied around them(cut from an old bicycle tube) to make sure they stay closed.
If you hunt beaches I bet your earring count goes up now:thumbup:
its super on low conductors and small stuff.

Your going to find all the nickles everyone has left behind ! I am just waiting for the Gold to pop out of the ground:bouncy:

cut your velcro in strips to hold those battery doors closed for the situations Neil spoke of..... the velcro that comes with the Tejon is meant for an arm/cuff strap I believe, but I used it for my battery doors.
Enjoy your Tejon!

Took the Tejon on it's maiden voyage tonight.....and I have come to the realization....that I do in fact need a bigger shovel. Found a buch of goodies, but I wont bore you with the details....I will say however, this Tejon has found it's home....and I am a happy camper!
