The Take and the Trip

The "Take" -salt shaker cap, 2 shell casings, 4 wheaties, some sort of metal Panasonic product label and a lighter. The "Trip" took me out to this old house about an hour south. Looks like its from the 20s or 30s. Don't know how long it's been abandoned. Notice the steps to the house--they don't go anywhere--no door. The last 2 photos are of some old cement railroad spur buildings in disuse since about 1935. They're located right behind the house about 75-100 yards. Disappointing haul but the trip was enjoyable and it was kind of nice taking a small step back in time. So many places around here are being rapidly turned into asphalt and cement these days. The whole area was pretty muched trashed. Gobs of stuff all over. Looked as if people had been using parts of it as a dump site and the transients had also been there. Difficult to hunt and slow going. I'm putting it on my list though, of places to go back to and give it another whirl. Thought you guys might enjoy seeing the scene of the hunt.

Congrats on the wheats MrGee, That house looks interesting. hard to tell what you might find there. Best of luck in your next hunt!

:usaflag:Looks like a great spot....definately go back.

Cool pics. It will take plenty of patience to hunt there. Look forward to seeing what you find.
