Recently I visited a Grass field that had been plowed in the past but has been grass for some years. in 3.5 hours the T2 had found a fragment of a Le Tene 3 1st century brooch a small late Roman coin plus an Antoninianus of Carausius reverse Pax minted at London(sens70 disc15 sound's2+). Next day after reading a forum I tried setting mentioned by a T2 user these were 99 5 1 I tried them but did not work on this site far to much noise. But another user suggested 99 45 1 again I found that 1 sounds on this site gave far too many signals although the read out was perfect as usual So I used 99 45 2+ worked fine finding a very small Roman coin only 1Cm diameter plus Two very nice 4th century coins.
The first a full sized Follis of Constantine 1st A.D.308 to 337 reverse Genio Populi Romany (the spirit of the Roman people) minted at Lugdunham(Lyons) in southern France. The second An AE3 of Crispus A.D.317 326.Reverse a Camp gate minted at London (PLON)
The only problem that I can see using these high settings of disc is that some low conductivity items i.e. a Roman brooch or pin may be missed but seems perfect for coin hunting.. The Carausius coin needs cleaning. My T2 version is 6.5
