The sweetest sound I've heard the Etrac make since I've been hunting.

I was hunting the wet sand a couple of days ago. I heard the sweetest low tone I've heard on my Etrac since I've been hunting, Out popped this little number from about 6-8" Its a Turkish coin minted between 1803 and 1829. It is 1.57 grams of 22K. My first GOLD coin. I'm sorry I didn't confirm the VDI but I hunt by tone and only look at the VDI if its an iffy.

The more uniform the shape and composition, the more exact, mellow and sweet the signal. This is where the CTX went backward in the audio.
That's quite a find Grunter! Better scan that area some more!

Awesome find Grunter! Congrats on your first gold. Nothing like seeing a gold coin in your hole.

Wow! What an awesome find! I have yet to find a gold coin. Nice find! It looks beautiful too!

It was a very distinctive low tone that you would have to hear. It was mellow like a 12-01 thru 12-05 but softer.

Thanks. Is that coin small like a Roosevelt dime maybe? I walk past a lot of 12-1 to 12-05.

Grunter, what country are you in, or what part of the country if in the u.s.. I just can't imagine something like that being found on u.s. heavily hunted beaches.

Congrats on the gold coin! Great find.
