The Sunray probe for the Sovereign easy fix in the field.

[While in the park on a coin hunt the Sunray probe cable didn't loop well and was annoying with the probe mounted on the left hand side.I'm left handed and the probe is mounted on the opposite side intended.About a week ago I was frustrated while coin hunting and came up with a quick easy solution.A quick cable switch to put the cable connection in a better position for a left handed probe mount. With the Sunray control box I switched the probe cable to the coil connection and the coil cable to the probe connection. With this cable flip the probe cable mounts much better for the left handed users. There is on drawback the toggle switch on the control box is now labeled in the opposite position.I have no problem with the opposite ID label. Now the toggle switch seems to be easier to flip in the new direction.

Yea I did that, I went about two days with the probe in the probe switch side, but it really was a pain in the kiester so I switched it over , just like you said the only drawback is while it says probe its really on the coil and viceversa.........

Adam, good to hear I wasn't the only one frustrated.Compared with the improved ease of operation the mislabeled switch is no problem.
