The story of a (dead) squirrel, a cat and a band of Turkey Vultures

The squirrel was road kill and the cat almost joined the squirrel... The cat was slowly "sneaking" up on the birds... then made a mad dash for the band of vultures snacking on the squirrel....the cat suddenly went up on his back feet, (almost like to whack them with his front paws) (I wish I caught that scene with my camera) but the birds didn't even flinch at the cats presence or back down. The cat realizes he is out-gunned and out-muscled lol So the cat lies down in the grass and watches them for the duration. Once Rocky was consumed by the birds, they took flight and the neighborhood went back to "normal".

have loved to have seen the look on that cat's face the moment it realized that he had made a terrible mistake. Thanks for sharing the pictures and story. Kelley (Texas) :)

I will say that cat was quite comical. It was almost like he went from attack cat to trying to be best buddies with the birds.

It seemed as if those birds were ready to do "what ever they had to do" to maintain order. The cat must have felt / sensed this. When the cat ran up on the birds, they just stood with this stoic look on their faces and looked down on the cat like, " you wanna die? lol
