The Sovereignty of God for Thursday Feb 5

Sovereignty is what many nations fight over. Their rights to rule over their territory. Satan called into question God's right to rule. At Genesis 3:1-6 Satan implied that God lied to Adam and Eve. He told Eve (Adam was not with Eve at the time of this conversation. He was physically elsewhere. See the last part of vs 6). He told Eve that she would not die, she would be like God. Implication was they could decide for themselves how they could live.
What was the result? They were evicted out of the garden of eden, and they eventually died. Since that time every conceivable form of government has been tried by man. Man's rule has been a total failure. One only need to look back in history to prove this. So who's way of ruling is the best? Who's sovereignty is the best way of solving man's problems? Its obvious satan is a failure. Jesus proved that under extreme test while on earth. Unlike Adam who could have said no when Eve offered him some fruit and then let his Creator deal with the situation, Jesus rejected everything satan sent his way, and then suffered a horribly excruciating death at the hands of his enemies. He provided an answer, that perfect men could remain faithful to God, that God's way of ruling or sovereignty was the only way that humans would thrive. God's Kingdom would be established with Jesus as the king, and that kingdom is poised to brijgban end to all these kingdoms or governments that oppress mankind here on earth. Daniel 2:44. Jesus taught his disciples to pray for that kingdom at Matthew 6:9.
