THE SMALL COIL IN BIG HANDS

I took the F75 and the small coil out for a test spin in some very bad Calif ground. After we get rain the ground gets even worse. This is a historic sight called ChinaTown, a town where the Chinese lived during the Gold Rush days. My friend lives on the land, about 5 acres.
You would never know if you just looked at the area. Loads of trash and iron so you can get a good hit trash or ? every few inches...What to dig and what to leave behind? Well the small coil may take hours longer to cover the same area the larger coil covers. But the small coil works loads better in high trash. I have been here with the T2, 70 pro and now with the F75. I just love the way the F75 works it is all the past detectors I had all rolled up into one great machine. The larger coil works well but you can get really tight between the trash and iron and get a better idea what your coil is passing over, (you get more info). Would love to see a DD small coil????

Low-Boy, I'm with you on the DD small coil. I have been switching back and forth between the stock and small coil on a very trashy site that I have spent a good deal of time on and I am still liking the stock coil better. Of course, some 800 or so hours with it verses just a few with the small coil, could be a factor. Those are some very nice finds. I'm envious. HH jim tn

I really like this little coil and would really recommend it to those learning the F-75 too as it make learning so much easier. Don't cover much at a time, but it sure goes deep and picks out some nice finds close to trash as we are seeing by your pictures. I got a V nickle and a nice Buffalo with mine when I tried it out where I had worked with the stock coil on the F-75 and my Explorer EX II I had missed.

I am getting the same reports from my customers. Takes longer to cover the ground but works great in trash.

I used it for the first time the other day at an old park. Didn't have but about 1/2 hour to hunt. Found a dime and 2 zincs in 5 minutes. Infact I pulled the first dime out at 2" before Momma got out of the park turn around. I was running the machine at 35 sens, DE mode, discim 15, 3h tone and had foil notched. Found a bunch of PTs and decided to switch modes.

I put the machine in All Metal Motion and that little coil works wondered. Found the first wheat I have in this town at about 4" down. Now I can't wait for the temps to up in the high 40s and the rain to stop. I just know with all the old large trees here and that wheat so fast some good finds are close.

Still not sure about how solid this machine will ID in All Mteal Motion Mode, but it IDed solid on some PTs and nails. Going to plant some coins tomorrow and try it out. have to start a new test garden now we moved.

This small coil is going to a lot to be fun this year. I still haven't been to those 1800s farms yet. Can't wait to try this smally over there.

Keep hitting the old trees with the small coil, the little Bugger does wonders..Its 20F,30f degrees here and sloppy..Burrrr
