If you are thinking of buying a Mark II, for discrimination, think again. It is just a good PI. If you try and use discrimination, you will not find the gold. Don't go there, unless you just want a nice PI. I have owned 3 and the unit is VERY CAPABLE though khouse.
I thought there were really no true discriminating PI units. But you know the video had me thinking? Since I only get to the salt beaches every 7 years - I think I'll just stay in the dry with the machines I have. If I went to the beach several times year I would be thinking differently.

The last time I saw a salt beach was 7 yers ago. It will probably be another 7 before I go again. I know a top of the line machine will pay for itself on the beach. But I can't justify an Excal for a few hours of use. Plus most of my budget is spent on the trip. The last time I took my CZ5 that sniffed me out 2 silver rings in the Bahama's in knee deep water. I don't have it anymore.

I've been looking at Sovereigns and Cz's. What is the difference in the Sovereign Elite, GT, X2-2a or any others? What would be the best coil too? Now if I buy a Excalibur then what is the difference between the Excalibur and the Excalibur II? I know I could simply do some research and find out. But here I thought I could get some better answers from users. Thanks!
