The Scorpion "Gold Stinger"

I just picked up this uint at a local pawn shop. I have had a GTA 350 and a few other really cheap detectors in the past. Just wondering if this is a good unit? I really don't know alot about using it. I did however find the user manual at the garrett website.

Well, my guess is that it is one of the most versatile machines out there....it has a true all metal mode for relics, full discrimination mode well suited for coins and jewelry and can be manually ground balanced to suite the different environments. Oh....I forgot, it was designed to hunt for gold...... :thumbup:

Clywhite;

You have a good prospecting relic machine there. I have one and have enjoyed it very much. But I don't care to coin hunt with it, it really wasent built for coins in the first place. Not that it won't do it.
Go to lost Treasure Online and see the field test on the Scorpion, It's a very good artical.
I hope you will enjoy your Scorpion as much as I have mine! HH! :detecting:
