Out tonite after supper to work a school yard. The stinger is hot on nickels, dimes & quarters which also makes it hot on gold! Nice batch of loot tonite! :)

Here's the ring. It might be gold, but probably gold plated. Its the third Lord of the Rings ring that I have dug.

I played with the Scorpion a bit today but couldn't get it to perform right. It wouldn't hit hard on coins - just sort of burped and I couldn't tell if there was something there or not, plus I had to scan real slow to get an audible response, and I had trouble pinpointing. The target kept reading back and off to the side no matter whether I pinpointed in TR or all metal. This was with the stock coil

Bill.

LOL That makes you the "Ring Bearer"!!! The ring must not fall into the wrong hands, the ring must be destroyed!!!

Nice John, I hope that it is the real deal, if not it's still a lovely find, thanks for sharing. HH regards Nugget.

Keep it secret. Keep it safe.

Sounds like a bad coil, Bill. I was using the little 3 x 5 "HogFoot" coil a couple weeks back and it wouldn't hit anything if the disc was above 4 or below 7, nothing, nada, zippo. I put my back-up "HogFoot" on and it worked fine as did the stock coil. I'm gonna send it to Garrett and have it checked

Congratulation on the ring. Lots of clad finds.:clapping:
