Well, I took the Royal Sabre with the notch again set to reject most of the square tabs in the nickel area while getting nickels, and had a little better luck with the nickels. I was at a high trash school, so I found my first nemesis-the pencil eraser!:veryangry: The can slaw was a nuisance, also. Didn't post all the slaw or erasers found. I found out that quarters are fainter than the other coins, for some reason, in this setting. Not that they aren't clear, just faint. I also found out that I had to overlap closer or I'd miss a lot of coins. Fun mode, however, the Silver umax patiently waits it's turn in the corner, hoping for less trashier sites. Thanks for looking.

Nice finds, Congrats. I hunt a couple real trashy sites as well. I just keep digging the trash until the good stuff comes out.

That's a pretty good haul in spite of the pesky pencil eraser. That Royal Saber's doing a good job for you.

Nice results slingshot. It sounds like that notch discrimination on the Royal Sabre is a winning set up. Way to go!

Thanks. I just got tired of the beep-dig scenario for a while and my "cleaner" sites are building back up with stuff so I decided to go with ID. I'm trying to set it so that I miss most of the square tabs in the nickel area-still find coins-and hope for a ring in the foil, square tab, and nickel area. In the past few months the rings I found were in the foil area. So I just got burned out on the beep-dig thing and with these areas I only had an hour or two before work. Sometimes a man just gets tired of trying so hard and the few days of mostly keepers does the spirit good.
