The river that keeps on giving

Hit the river Wednesday and got there late and had to leave early. The 5 X 8 doesn't cover as much ground as the 8.5 X 11, but keeps finding the small jewelry for me. Found a bell shaped ear ring, no markings. Found another odd shaped ear ring with a stone, that fell out while I was showing it to Mama at her house. Thinks it's real, but got to test and glad it didn't fall out at the river. Found what looks like a pearl ear ring, but don't know how to tell real pearl from synthetic. A button that is very light in weight and feels like plastic, but the coils says it's metal. Some type of bracket on the end of the other ear rings, but don't know what it is. 3 dimes, 2 nickels & 9 pennies.
A stone in the hand is worth two in the bush. lol

Cool! To tell if a pearl is real, just rub it up against your teeth..if it feels rough, its real, if it feels smooth, its plastic or something...at least thats how it has been done for years...maybe now theres a different way.
Nice work!:clapping:

Considering the pic's, that's pretty funny Fongu!!:crylol: Some nice goodies coming out of there.

You're sure on a roll!

Everytime I think it's hunted out, I find something nice. The guy/girl with the PI must have found the chain I missed a week or two back. I'm not greedy. I haven't cut my grass in almost 3 weeks and it looks like a jungle. So, no dirt fishing at the river for me tomorrow. I love the way the 5 X 8 coil finds these small targets and some of them 6 & 8 inches deep. I didn't like this coil when I first got it and sent it back with all my other coils and my At/Pro for repair and it was a defective coil. I worked a lot faster with the 8.5 X 11 and covered more ground, but I'm learning a lot with the 5 X 8. It just makes a different sound than the larger coil and I can just tell sometimes when I get the small whisper, it's gonna be something good.
