The rich hermit named Shorty

lived up river from the old North village. They say he would work his land in his fine threads. He was said to have shot three man on his land looking for he's stash. When he was killed by King Philip's war party people for miles around when on his land to find he's gold and silver, but no one found it.The site has been lost for a long time.I think everyone I know and others with a detector have looked for the site which was said to be right on the banks of the river.Well I think I found it today after work.I have found his land last year which I found my silver shoe buckle and silver coins but they were a ways from the river.I found a part of the river today that looked like it may of went straight at one time but now go's way off to the right a few hundred feet.I was going along the old band and started getting iron targets.Got a nice button and 20 feet away I got another. Then I found the hole. All of the rock are gone and there just a bowl looking hole on the old bank.A lot of times they would take the rocks from a old site to build a new place.Hey why work all day pulling rocks off of the ground when and can just going to a old hole and take the rocks from it.The sun was going down and I was a ways from the car.Going around the hole I pulled this super sweet buckle.I'll be back to that site till I find Shorty stash.Enjoy.
